Русско-английские отношения при Елизавете Петровне в неопубликованной монографии И.И. Любименко

Статья посвящена неизданной монографии выдающегося советского историка Инны Ивановны Любименко. И.И. Любименко выходит за границы традиционного для нее периода истории русско-английских отношений - допетровской Руси и выполняет исследование на тему «Россия и Англия в первой половине XVIII в. 1698-1756». В статье сделан акцент на взглядах историка рукописи, особое внимание уделяется авторской интерпретации «дипломатической революции», предшествовавшей Семилетней войне. Сравнительно-исторический метод позволил выявить вклад ученого в разработку истории внешней политики России, который заполнил пробел в отечественной историографии русско-английских отношений середины XVIII в. Раскрывая содержание русско-британских дипломатических связей, И.И. Любименко в хронологической последовательности описывает отношения этих стран, причем не только по оси Лондон - Петербург, но и во взаимодействии их дипломатов при дворах других европейских держав в контексте событий того времени.

Russian-English Relations under Elizabeth Petrovna in the Unpublished Monograph of I.I. Lyubimenko

The paper deals with the unpublished monograph of the outstanding Soviet historian Inna Ivanovna Lyubimenko. I.I. Lyubimenko goes beyond the limits of Russian-English relations in the pre-Petrine Russia, a historical period that is a traditional scope of her studies, and conducts the research entitled Russia and England in the First Half of the 18th Century. 1698-1756. The emphasis is placed on the views of the historian of the manuscript; special attention is paid to the author’s interpretation of the Diplomatic Revolution that preceded the Seven Years War. A comparative historical method reveals the contribution of I.I. Lyubimenko to the development of the history of Russian foreign policy. Her research fills a gap in Russian historiography of Russian-English relations in the mid-18th century. Revealing the content of Russian-British diplomatic ties, I.I. Lyubimenko chronologically describes the relationships between these countries not only from the London-Petersburg perspective but also from the standpoint of the interaction of their diplomats at the courts of other European powers in the context of the events of that time.
