Thermal and plasmochemical activation of the zirconia-supported copper catalyst for ethanol dehydrogenation

It was shown that copper-containing nanocomposites based on t-zirconium dioxide 5% Cu/t-ZrO2 can be activated using preliminary treatments in high-frequency (HF) hydrogen plasma and critical low-temperature treatments. The increased activity was explained by the formation of many active centers due to the creation of additional t-zirconia defects as a result of the redistribution of copper ions on its surface before the reductive treatment. © 2017, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.
