TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION IN ORGANIC AGRICULTURE

The term Organic Agriculture according to the international forum for of organic movement (IFOAM) is defined as a production system which sustains the health of soils, ecosystems and people. Innovation is the implementation of a new or significantly improved product (good or service), a new marketing method or a new organisational method in business practise, workplace organisation or external relations. The major principles of organic farming are based on its reliance on ecological processes, biodiversity and cycles adapted to local conditions, rather than the use of inputs with adverse effects. Organic Agriculture combines tradition, innovation and science to benefit the shared environment and promote fair relationships and a good quality of life for all involved.
