Factors of distribution of pollutants in the atmosphere over polar regions (A case study for Yamburg settlement)

Analyzed is the influence of weather conditions on the concentration of pollutants in the atmosphere over Yamburg settlement using the data of automatic monitoring in 2006–2008. Used is the technique of the division of a total sample into representative periods depending on the meteorological potential of the atmosphere. It is demonstrated that the distribution of admixtures is affected by different factors and the importance of the latter varies considerably in representative periods and in different years. However, the main factor of impact is temperature regardless of the division of the year into periods. © 2014, Allerton Press, Inc.
