Synthesis and biological activity of (γ-arylpyridino)-dibenzoaza-14-crown-4 ethers

Eight novel aza-14-crown-4 compounds incorporating γ-arylpyridine moiety and possessing high inhibitory activity towards cancer cell lines were synthesized in one step from 1,5-bis(2-acetylphenoxy)-3-oxapentane, aromatic aldehyde and ammonium acetate. © 2015 Mendeleev Communications.
