Formation of research competencies of students through tutor support [Formación de competencias de investigación de los alumnos a través de tutorías]

One of the important tasks of the Russian school education is the achievement of significant personal, subject and meta-subject results of mastering basic educational program of basic general education. “Shaping the basis of students' research and project activities culture and skills for development, implementation and public presentation of research results, subject or interdisciplinary educational project aimed at scientific, personal and (or) socially significant problem solving" is another important tasks. Research methodology. Analysis of scientific papers has shown that research skills are formed during the process of research activity and are determined by characteristic features of the research activity. The analysis has also shown that such skills are formed in the process of independent activity of students under the guidance of a teacher – usually a subject teacher. At the present stage of school education development, tutor support has a great potential not only in solving the problem of organizing individual student support but also in formation and development of research skills of students. Results of the study. According to the results of studying the experience of tutoring activities in a general education school, tutoring can be defined as a resource with great potential in influencing various aspects of the cognitive development of students, including the development of their research skills. Discussion. Interest in learning depends on the content of training and individual and personal characteristics of pupils, which can be revealed through the description of the following structural components of personality: intellect related, activity related, emotional-reflexive, component of needs and motivations, self-organizing (volitional). Conclusion. One of the major challenges for a tutor is to stimulate the development of adolescents’ cognitive needs in learning activities. © 2018, Universidad del Zulia. All rights reserved.
