Colour is an essential component of moral and aesthetic values for representatives of different cultures. Colour terms are means of aesthetic representation of the external reality and the inner self. This article is dedicated to analysis of author’s and translator’s transformations of colour characteristics and their representation in the textual and semantic field of colour terms.
