Принцип Маха

В статье изложены истоки появления принципа Маха, показана роль идей Маха в создании Эйнштейном общей теории относительности, а также указаны основные обсуждавшиеся в ХХ веке трактовки и проявления принципа Маха. Среди них названы попытки обоснования инерции, принципа причинности, стрелы времени и других физических свойстввоздействием окружающегомира (всей Вселенной).

MACH’S PRINCIPLE

The article describes the sources of the emergence of Mach’s principle, shows the role of Mach’s ideas in the development by Einstein of the general relativity theory, and recapitulates the main interpretations and manifestations of Mach’s principle discussed in the 20th century. Named among them are the attempts at substantiating inertia, the causality principle, the time arrow, and other physical properties by the impact of the surrounding world (the whole Universe).
