Late cenezoic transcontinent structures and magmatics of the Euro-African segment of the Earth and geodynamics of its formation

A possibility for intraplate nature of processes of the volcanic activity in African and West European regions is considered. It is assumed that the intraplate activity has been controlled basically by two large transcontinental structures such as groove zones originating as a result of late Cenozoic era activation of the African-Atlantic hot field of mantle or superplum. A model of forming the transcontinental groove zones is suggested. It is shown that the regional tectonic conditions dictate the formation of the conjugated lateral and vertical rows of the magmatic associations.
