Enhanced effectivity of autoresonant acceleration of electrons by Gaussian laser radiation

The autoresonant mechanism of acceleration of relativistic electrons by combined Gaussian laser radiation, which consists of radiation of the lowest and first modes, is considered. It is shown that acceleration by combined radiation is more effective than acceleration by Gaussian beams of the lowest or the first mode. © 2005 Pleiades Publishing, Inc.
