Role of the interaction of corrosion pittings in the dynamics of their evolution

A mechanism of the interaction of corrosion pittings on the inhomogeneous surface of a passivated metal in the presence of activating (halide) anions in the external aqueous electrolyte solution was proposed. A mathematical model for describing this mechanism was developed. © Nauka/Interperiodica 2006.
