Inverse Light Scattering Problem in a Planar Waveguide with Statistical Subwavelength Irregularities: Theory and Computer Simulation

An approximate correct solution of the inverse problem of light scattering in a planar waveguide with small statistical irregularities is obtained. The latter is reduced to the determination of the autocorrelation function of irregularities on the far zone scattering data. The solution in this case is found with the help of Tikhonov's regularisation method. © 2001 IOS Press.
