The article considers the peculiarities of organization and functioning of the polytechnic museum in the modern city: the interaction of function and form-building; the role of values of polytechnic museums in shaping urban development, museum education, museum and recreational clusters; improving the typology and structure of the buildings of the polytechnic museum.
