АФИНСКИЕ АТЛЕТЫ В ЭПИНИКИЯХ ПИНДАРА И ВАКХИЛИДА

Статья посвящена афинским атлетам, победителям крупных панэллинских игр, имена которых упоминаются в хвалебных одах (эпиникиях) прославленных поэтов Эллады, Пиндара и Вакхилида. Несмотря на то, что афинские атлеты и их тренеры не часто становились адресатами эпиникий, но оды Пиндар и Вакхилида дают возможность проследить некоторыетенденции в спортивной жизни Афин и Эллады.

The article is devoted to Athenian athletes, winners of the major Panhellenic games, whose names are mentioned in the praise odes (epinikia) of the celebrated poets of Hellas, Pindar and Bacchylides. Although Athenian athletes and their coaches were not often the recipients of epinikia, the odes of Pindar and Bacchylides provide an opportunity to trace some trends in the sporting life of Athens and Hellas.
