The article summarizes modern approaches in medical follow-up for preterm infants in outpatient departments after discharge from children's hospital. Particular attention is paid to nutritional support for preterm infants, how long the enriched nutrition formula should be provided, and the optimal timing for complementary feeding. © 2022 by the Author(s).
