Critical Mineral Materials for a Low-Carbon Energy System

Abstract: The transition towards low-carbon energy technologies based on renewable energy sources will be accompanied by an increasing demand for raw mineral materials in the coming decades. The goal of the present study was to define which metals and industrial minerals will play a critical role in scaled-up production of these technologies. © 2023, Allerton Press, Inc.
