Within the framework of the article, the author discusses issues related to understanding the essence of traditional festive culture, its functions and content aspects. Historical, religious, sociocultural aspects, the role of rituals, the place of symbols and their meaning are discussed. In the process of revealing the topic, emphasis is placed on social cohesion, the transfer of cultural values, and the adaptation of traditions in the context of globalization, which emphasizes their sustainability and high importance.
