PROFICIENCY IN ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE IN THE HEALTHCARE FIELD

This article focuses on the value of English in medicine, it gives the rationale why physicians need to know English. Reading and comprehension medical texts and literature in English are becoming compulsory for modern physicians. To be a great doctor, English language proficiency for medical students and researchers is necessary now, within the framework of not only a compulsory discipline of higher education, but as an essential knowledge necessary for future professional and scientific activities.
