INCOHERENCE OF THE USA IN THE INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS SPHERE

One of the key indicators of the democracy of any State is the high level of protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms in that country. This can be measured, in particular, by the participation of the State concerned in the main international human rights treaties and the high degree of state involvement in the activities of international human rights structures. Recent event in the international human rights field - the announcement by the US authorities of secession from the UN Human Rights Council - testifies to the continuation of the inconsistent and in many ways destructive US foreign policy.
