The requirement for building of new rekreatsionno-tourist complexes for Sri Lanka has become obvious during the last years with the increase of the material well-being of local population, expansion of a spectrum of tourist services in the given region and with constantly increasing stream of the foreign tourists giving essential currency replenishment in the local budget. Cultural-historical tourism is most popular among foreign tourists. Its basis is the cultural-historical potential of the country including all social and cultural environment with traditions and customs.
