Ocular hemodinamics and contemporary methods of its assessment. Part I. Ocular blood circulation and its quantitative estimation

The purpose of this review article is to show the diversity of contemporary methods of assessment of ocular hemodynamics, which frequently occur in Russian and foreign publications of the last years. Since hemody-namic theorie represents one of the main pathogenetic theories of the development of glaucoma nowadays, the estimation of ocular hemodynamics seems to be very important for timely diagnostics of the disease. The first part of the review is dedicated to the physiological aspects of ocular blood flow as well as to the analysis of the basic blood flow parameters.
