Contact Pressure between Beam and Steel Plates Welded on Columns

This article introduces formulas for the contact pressure between flour slab and steel plates welded to the columns of the metal framework. Girder plan for the flour slab and steel plates used to obtain these formulas. Solution for and edge of the column shows that the value of contact pressures approaches infinity. Diagram of contact pressures introduced to eliminate this uncertainty.
