On the possibility of obtaining a stable water-gas mixture in the conditions of oil fields

When implementing the water-gas effect, the stability of the water-gas mixture directly affects the success of the method. During the injection process, the mixture is affected by various factors, which in some cases leads to separation into liquid and gas. In this paper, we consider the known data on the phenomenon of coalescence of gas bubbles. It is shown that the behavior of gas bubbles in a water-gas mixture is affected by a complex of factors of different nature. Data are given on theories that indirectly indicate the nature of the phenomenon of coalescence, or its suppression. Special attention is paid to the study of the negative impact of the gas phase on the equipment that is used to obtain and pump the mixture. The analysis of the given data made it possible to prove the effectiveness of the set of measures recommended to prevent coalescence. A further direction of studying the technology of creating stable water-gas mixtures is also formulated.
