RISK FACTORS AND INDICATORS FOR PERIODONTAL TISSUE DISEASE

Periodontal disease is a prevalent oral health problem that affects a significant proportion of the global population. The purpose of this article is to provide an overview of the risk factors and indicators associated with periodontal tissue disease. The epidemiology of periodontal disease is examined, and the various factors that increase the risk of developing periodontal disease are explored. The study finds that age, gender, race, and ethnicity are significant risk factors for the disease. Other indicators such as oral hygiene level, local factors, obesity, diabetes, alcohol consumption, viruses, and periodontal pathogens are also identified. Understanding the risk factors and indicators associated with periodontal disease is essential for the development of prevention and treatment strategies.
