A STUDY OF MEDIA LITERACY AT THE SECONDARY SCHOOL LEVEL

With the progress of society, the field of news communication has also expanded. Concurrently, the public has been continuously enhancing their own quality. The Internet has provided the public with a plethora of resources, making it a rich and complex source of information. It is crucial for secondary school students to develop media literacy as they use this multifunctional medium. They must accurately evaluate the value of the information disseminated through it and possess the proficiency to create and disseminate information, which will become the focal point of media literacy education in the contemporary era. This study aims to assess and analyze the level of news literacy among secondary school students by gaining insight into their perceptions of news through a questionnaire survey.
