В статье в сравнительно-правовом и историко-правовом ключе рассматриваются Сингапурские договоры, по результатам которых завершилось соперничество Англии и Нидерландов в борьбе за власть в Сингапуре. Хронологические рамки настоящей статьи охватывают период первой половины XIX в., включая период оккупации острова и учреждения фактории на территории острова Сингапур Ост-Индской компании в 1819 г., когда можно констатировать "де-факто" укрепление власти Британской империи в Сингапуре, установлением правовых основ для фактории Ост-Индской компании по организации публичной власти в пределах установленной территории согласно Сингапурскому договору от 1819 г. и вплоть до закрепления власти "де-юре" согласно Сингапурскому договору от 1824 г.
The article examines the Singapore Treaties in a comparative legal and historical-legal manner, as a result of which the rivalry between England and the Netherlands in the struggle for power in Singapore ended. The chronological framework of this article covers the period of the first half of the 19th century, including the period of occupation of the island and the establishment of a trading post on the territory of the island of Singapore by the East India Company in 1819, when it is possible to state "de facto" the strengthening of the power of the British Empire in Singapore, the establishment of legal foundations for the trading post of the East India Company for the organization of public authority within the established territory according to the Singapore Treaty of 1819 and up to the consolidation of power "de jure" according to the Singapore Treaty of 1824.
