The text book was written to provide information for one-semester course in medical parasitology to address the needs of medical students in the health science fields. This text presents basic descriptions of parasites commonly found to cause human diseases.\r\nThe students should have some knowledge of biology as a prerequisite to taking this course, that’s why cell basics and principal of classification of living things are included too. Parasites are divided into the three broad groups: protozoa, helminthes and arthropods. Critical thinking skills are developed by the inclusion multiple chose questions in each chapter and practical classes in medical parasitology. The text book is illustrated by the diagrams, tables, photo plates and pictures of the parasites to be studied.\r\nThe author sought to provide the clear, practical, and clinically relevant information necessary to gain an understanding of the pathogenesis of parasitic\r\ninfections to be able to diagnose these infections. The text book is for the first year students of Medical University in specialties “Medicine”, “Stomatology”,\r\nand “Medico-Prophylactic”.
