STOCK MARKET ANALYSIS DURING COVID-19

The stock market is a set of mechanisms that allows individuals or legal entities to perform transactions with securities. Someone thinks that the stock market is responsible only for securities, but this is far from the case. It is enough to look at what is traded on stock exchanges, and everything will become clear there is a currency, raw materials, securities and derivatives that facilitate financial trading. There are a huge number of players on the stock market who are trying to predict the future course of economic development. A record number of new users entered the stock markets who needed clarity on further changes, but even for seasoned experts, the pandemic turned out to be an unpredictable and stalemate event that affected not only the economic sphere, but also all areas of human development. This article explains in fairly simple language the situation in the global economy and stock markets since the first powerful recession in 2020. There is an explanation of the impact of the pandemic not only on the stock markets of various countries of the world, but also the consequences of such events, and also shows the dependence of the influence of various factors. The search for information was carried out using the bibliographic and referral database Scopus. Due to the rarity of the topic, more than 150 articles were selected, then the list was reduced to 40 articles. The entire selection took place according to pre-arranged criteria. To work with this review article, articles were selected on 4 different topics, the basis of which was the topic of the stock market. Such a sample made it possible to best trace the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the economy and stock markets. As a result, the articles were analyzed and the following problems were highlighted: the coronavirus affected the decline of the main stock market indices, the pandemic caused an economic crisis. Scientists will be able to solve them faster in the future thanks to these conclusions.
