Peculiarities of photosynthesis in leaves and generative organs (developing anthers and seeds) of original forms and F-2 hybrids of winter and spring triticale were investigated. The total amount of chlorophyll a and b in the upper leaves and generative organs considerably increased in hybrids, as compared with the original forms in the process of recombinant synthesis. The intensity of carbonic acid photosynthetic assimilation in the developing anthers and green seeds was also higher in hybrids and reached 90% of that in the upper leaves. Consequently, the potentialities of the photosynthetic apparatus of generative organs of the triticale hybrids may be strengthened through selection, resulting in an increase in the stability of plants under unfavorable conditions.
