THE ISSUES AND CHALLENGES OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT BODIES IN KYRGYZ REPUBLIC

This article analyzes the formation, development and recent trends of local self-government in the Kyrgyz Republic. The authors analyze the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic, in particular, focusing on notions of governance and local democracy and the powers and responsibilities of local authorities. Special attention is paid to the latest changes in the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic and the impact on local governments.
