Effect of high energy conductivity electrons on oxygen adsorption and ethylene oxidation on metals

There is a possibility of chemical reaction stimulation by high-energy electrons generated by Schottky diode, a planar contact of a metal with donor alloyed semiconductor. The diode studied was placed inside the ion source of mass-spectrometer, and the reactant vapors were supplied to the surface of the contact. The study of mass-spectral peak intensities suggests the participation of high-energy conductivity electrons in the processes of ethylene catalytic transformation on silver and oxygen adsorption on gold.
