PROSPECTS OF HYDROPOWER AS THE MAIN DRIVER OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN THE CONTEXT OF GLOBALIZATION

Hydropower is one of the most important and necessary areas of the renewable energy industry. This is manifested not only in the enormous volumes of electricity produced with its help, but also in the growing need today to confront natural disasters. The article discusses prospects and main directions of development of international cooperation in the context of energy globalization. The main problems are highlighted, ways to solve them are proposed. Results of the analysis of main indicators of cooperation of the countries of recent years are presented.
