Формы языковой игры в англоязычном экономическом дискурсе

Язык признан инструментом оказания разного рода воздействия, особенно ярко это проявляется в средствах массовой информации. Актуальность данной темы обосновывается тем, что по мере того, как уровень образования среднего читателя новостей растет, а глобализация и прозрачность мира достигли своего пика, новостные репортажи вынуждены придумывать новые и более изощренные средства воздействия и манипулирования, а игра слов является одним из интереснейших языковых приемов. Цель исследования - выявить средства и механизмы игры словами как инструмента языкового воздействия британских СМИ. Для анализа материала используются следующие методы: описательный метод, сравнительный анализ, стилистический анализ, контекстуальный анализ, прагматический анализ. Теоретическая значимость настоящего исследования обусловлена тем, что работа рассматривает особенности использования игры слов как манипулятивного приема в новостных сообщениях современных англоязычных газет.

Language is recognized as a tool for exerting various kinds of influence, this is especially evident in the media. The relevance of this topic is justified by the fact that as the level of education of the average news reader increases, and globalization and transparency of the world have reached their peak, news reports are forced to come up with new and more sophisticated means of influence and manipulation, and wordplay is one of the most interesting language techniques here. The purpose of the study is to identify the means and mechanisms of word play as a tool for language influence in the British media. The following methods are used to analyze the material: descriptive method, comparative analysis, stylistic analysis, contextual analysis, and pragmatic analysis. The theoretical significance of this study is due to the fact that the paper considers the features of using wordplay as a manipulative technique in news reports of modern English-language newspapers.
