Nonlinear Stochastic Evaluation of the Orientation Parameters of a Strapdown Inertial Navigation System of a Space Vehicle During Prelaunch Preparation

Abstract: The problem of the prelaunch orientation of a strapdown inertial navigation system of a spacecraft (SC) on a highly dynamic mobile base under the most general assumptions about the nature of its angular motion is considered. The solution is obtained in the form of a generalized Kalman filter using the Euler–Krylov angles as the state vector, and the vector of measurements of the angular velocity sensors of the strapdown inertial navigation system as the observation vector. An example is given that illustrates the accuracy and speed of convergence of the process of estimating the parameters of the initial orientation of a strapdown inertial navigation system. © 2021, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.
