Тhe article presented the reality of e-learning in English language departments in Syrian universities, determined the degree of application of e-learning in the departments, and evaluated the reality of e-learning in the English language departments in Syrian universities from the students’ point of view. The researcher examines whether e-learning is used. A descriptive-analytical approach was used. The study reached several results: weakness in the ability of faculty members to apply e-learning, weakness in the ability of Infrastructure and electronic software to apply e-learning, and according to students, Teaching methods and Teaching curricula show the intermediate ability to apply e-learning. The Mean of Evaluation E-learning by students (2.75) explains the intermediate of E-learning since it is smaller than 3. The English departments in Syrian universities suffer from the inability of the old faculty members to apply e-learning and their reliance on traditional curricula and teaching methods.
