In modern society, it is extremely important to comprehend the tolerance and its diverse issues. It is necessary to make interdisciplinary analysis integrating philosophical, sociological, political, science, psychological and linguistic approaches to this category, to systematize the accumulated theoretical and empirical knowledge in constantly changing discursive practices. The authors analyzed media discourse. It is the sphere with a specific manifestation of tolerance. This area essentially involves discussion, critical evaluation, sometimes unflattering one, and therefore it is interesting to investigate the limits of tolerance in this area. The research is based on the texts of the publicist and theatre critic T.V. Moskvina. For the direct study of the text material, the authors used the cognitive and linguopragmatic analysis.
