Conducting sociological investigation is an important condition for the implementing effective and targeted health policy. However, such studies, regarding ultrasonic diagnostics specialists are not enough. The article deals with analysis of results of the survey of ultrasonic diagnostic specialists on the issue of evaluation the quality of services provided for ultrasound diagnostics. Among the main factors affecting the quality of ultrasound diagnostics in Russia, doctors' workload and inadequate material and technical base were often noted. Surveys of specialists allow to identify problem areas of an organizational, informational and technological nature in the work of the ultrasound service and take measures to eliminate them.
