Thermogravimetrical Study of Chloromolibdenum Gadolinium GdMoO4Cl within the Temperature Range 25-1500°C in Air

The thermostability of GdMoO4Cl within the temperature range 25-1500°C was studied by DTA, X-ray powder diffraction, and chemical and optical methods. The compound is relatively stable up to 470deg;C; it exhibits polymorphic transformation at 1030°C. This suggests the decomposition scheme to polyphase products: matrix presented Compounds of composition LnWO4Cl and Ln3WO6Cl3 identified by X-ray powder diffraction and some physical and chemical methods were reported to form in solid phase reaction [1-3]. The compounds can be applied in laser technology as efficient phosphor. We reported the optimum conditions for synthesis [4], luminescence, spectral and optical properties [5-7].
