Digital Economy as a Modern Trend in the Global Hospitality Industry

The article is devoted to the study of the world digital economy conditions and opportunities for development in the context of hotel business innovative technologies application. Used methods and approaches to realize the goal of the presented research, namely, to identify the role of digital innovations in the field of hospitality are: information gathering, observation, systematization, analysis and synthesis, concretization and generalization, comparative analysis. Authors were enable explore main areas of hotel business digitalization due to identified favorable conditions for the formation of the electronic environment, as via selection and application of PMS systems, which allows to bring the main business processes of accommodation facilities to a new technological level, as through the development of special applications and expanding of guests services providing. All this makes possible to increase the competitiveness of hotel business enterprises and to build a system of consumer relations of relevant services on a qualitatively different basis. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
