BRICS UNIVERSITY NETWORK

The article is devoted to the topical problem of interaction in the educational sphere of BRICS international association member states universities (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) in the context of the social and humanitarian cooperation actively developing in the recent years. The University network of BRICS unites 50 universities and is the result of the parties' aspirations to implement large-scale and multi-format educational programs, with the aim of enhancing multi-level scientific cooperation as a basis for the scientific, technological and technological development of the BRICS countries in a new era. Networked Universities carry out numerous joint scientific researches on BRICS countries priority areas. And consolidation of infrastructure capacities of universities included in the University system significantly increases their competitiveness in the external market of educational services and contributes to neutralizing the consequences of the global economic crisis. In this article, the authors thoroughly analyse the history of University Network creation in the dynamics, the experience of inter-university cooperation in its framework, the emerging system problems and give practical advice on their solution, which allow improving the mechanism of the University's functioning, bringing the university network to a new system level and making it the advanced centre of science and education in global scale. A special place in the study is given to the role of the Network University in the development of academic exchanges and the deepening of intercultural communication.
