An innovative distance learning system for Russian language: The case of Greek audience

Nowadays, from the perspective of interaction and the exploitation of new sources of knowledge the systems for distance learning continue to improve and evolve. These systems require careful configuration and, in the case of learning a foreign language, an extension of the offered functionality provided through organizational and technological interventions. This paper presents the main features of a modern Distance learning system developed to meet the needs of Greek students who are interested in learning the Russian language using Internet. Emphasis is made on organizational interventions that encourage collaboration, reduce costs and, in general, increase the number and quality of various incentives for learning. © 2017 IEEE.
