The authors of this article consider the training of language for special purposes (further - LSP) to be of great importance. It requires careful and deep study of its functioning, as well as theory and practice of LSP in various professional fields. The authors have reviewed scientific works devoted to the analysis of the main directions of linguistic science for the period of XVII-XX centuries to the modern time. The study revealed that the priority scientific branch of modern linguistics is the theory and practice of LSP, the study of which requires a careful approach. The results of this study are presented in the monograph by V. Vorobyov "Linguoculturology: Theory and Methods" [12] as well as in E. Zakirova's doctoral dissertation "Linguoculturological Paradigm of Language for Specific Purposes (based on English and Russian Languages for Specific Purposes in the Branch of Automobile Transport)" [3] and in other authors' scientific works.
