LEGAL STATUS OF THE SUPREME COURT OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA

The Supreme Court of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is the highest Court and the apex of the hierarchy of courts in Nigeria1. The court has an apparent measure of virtue and respect, which is partly derived from its status as a body that encases the icons of the judicial profession and also because of its status as the court of final appeal.
