The research is relevant due to the interest of pedagogical community to the problems of education in modern Russian society, the identification of the means of its development. In this regard, this paper is aimed at disclosure of the theoretical foundations and methods of psychological-pedagogical coovercoming of infantilism of adolescents and youth. The leading approaches to the study of this problem are axiological, personality-oriented and activitybased approaches that allow having a comprehensive view of the problem of assistance to infantile adolescents and youth. The paper presents the essence and content of the concept of "infantilism"and "co-overcoming"in the psychological and pedagogical literature, the content of activities and mechanisms of its implementation, identified in the course of empirical research (experiment).
