Features of the implementation of the content of environmental education in the context of a preschool educational organization

The study was conducted in the 2018-2019 academic year by the academic staff of the Department of Preschool Education of the Moscow State Regional University among participants in the educational relations of preschool organizations in the Moscow Region. The purpose of the study is to identify the features of the substantive foundations of environmental education in the context of preschool educational organizations, as well as to determine the educational effect of the environmental orientation of such social institutions as family, preschool educational establishment, surrounding reality. The following methods were used as research ones: questioning of children, their parents and kindergarten teachers; individual conversations with children and parents; visiting a child's family; in-depth monitoring of communication between children and parents; modeling of problem situations. The study revealed the level of environmental culture of children, their parents and kindergarten teachers; the substantive foundations of the organization of environmental education in the space of a preschool educational organization were revealed; an attempt was made to design the pedagogical solvency of parents in forming the foundations of the environmental culture of preschool children. The key focus of the study was the determination of what organizational foundations affect the level of children's environmental education, which served as a starting point for designing an optimal model of environmental educational activities in the space of a preschool organization. The analysis of the quality of the pedagogical interaction of teachers with parents of preschool children to form the foundations of their environmental culture showed that the inconsistent level of interaction is the most common. Besides, according to the results of the study, factors inhibiting the development of teachers' cooperation with families of preschool children in environmental education were noted. The results of the study allow forming an idea of the current state of environmental education, its meaningful implementation at preschool educational organizations, as well as finding out the level of environmental-pedagogical culture of the parent community. © 2019 LLC Ecological Help.
