WATER SUPPLY IN NIGERIA: CHALLENGES, SOLUTIONS AND ECONOMIC BENEFITS

Nigeria is known for its rich vegetation and tropical weather and blessed with abundant water resources but the masses still face challenges getting clean water supply and mostly rely on alternative water supply like a well, borehole and river. The country is characterized by irregular water supply and water management laws are also weak and mostly not in conformity with today's standard and needs. It is, therefore, important to understand the economic implications of providing regular supply of water by the government.
