KNOWLEDGE AND ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ASSESSMENT OF “EL CEDRAL” ECOLODGE THROUGH AN ENVIRONMENTAL PSYCHOLOGY PERSPECTIVE

The main objective of this study was the description of the environmental quality of the El Cedral Ecolodge (Ecuador) according to the knowledge and assessments that people expressed in the guestbook and technical reports. The participants were the visitors during 2010 through 2017. The sample taken for the frequencies analysis was the total population of comments wrote in the guestbook (125 comments) and seven reports made on the Cedral, giving a total of 132 data. The positive assessments of the environmental quality of the Ecolodge in its physical, biotic and especially psychosocial aspects (86% of positive commentaries in total) shows very favorable results. Also, the discovery of relevant implicit or explicit suggestions allowed to propose improvements for the environmental quality of the reserve.
