The use of the gaming technique by a teacher in a secondary school is welcomed by pupils nowadays much more often than it was before. It is connected with the development of computer technologies and wide availability of gadgets for children. It is complicated today to surprise our “omniscient” and “all-knowing” student, scooping knowledge from the Internet, where there is everything and even more. “Clip thinking” does not give concentration on the lesson and depth of mastering. A teacher must return a student from the “sleeping regime” to the reality of the lesson from time to time. Also, he has to “update” student's interest in the next stage of the lesson. All this contributes to the game methodology and role-playing game, successfully used in class by teachers of school № 1576. A roleplaying game, as a type of speech exercise, is widely used in the lesson when learning to speak with purpose of forming and developing a child's speech skills and abilities. According to the rules of conducting role-playing games for students, conditions that may arise in real life are initiated, which causes the children's keen interest in what is happening, the residing of their roles in the game and the greater immersion in the topic under study. The article deals with the application of teachers' pedagogues - innovators applying “Pedagogy of Surprise”, role plays for secondary and senior classes of secondary school in the form of discussion and travels to unfamiliar places with a guideinterpreter. The use of games in the classroom has an undoubtedly beneficial effect on the learning process in general and on the motivation of each student in particular.
