Clinico-Immunological and Laboratory Markers in the Substantiation of the Algorithm for Diagnosis of Atypical Chronic Active Mono and Mixed-herpesvirus Infections

Analysis of anamnestic and clinical data allowed to form a profile of criteria - clinical markers, that are characteristic for AChA mono- and mixed-herpesviral infections. Extended testing of the state of the main mechanisms of antiviral protection made it possible to identify the most frequent defects in the functioning of antiviral immunity: disturbances in production of induced IFN alpha and IFN gamma, deficiency of cytotoxic T lymphocytes, deficiency of natural killer cells, incl. NKT, and/or inadequate absence of their activation, neutropenia.
