First efficient one-pot synthesis of tetrahydropyrrolo[2,3-d]azocines and tetrahydroazocino[4,5-b]indoles

A new efficient one-pot protocol for the synthesis of tetrahydropyrrolo[2,3-d]azocines and tetrahydroazocino[4,5-b]indoles starting from ready-available tetrahydropyrrolo[3,2-c]pyridines and tetrahydropyrido[4,3-b]indoles correspondingly and dimethylacetylene dicarboxylate or ethyl propiolate is being offered. © 2005 Bentham Science Publishers Ltd.
